Autism
Autism is a brain development disorder. Autism impairs social interaction and communication, and causes restricted and repetitive behavior. Many experts believe that autism begins before a child is three years old.
There several forms of autism, including milder autism spectrum disorders (ASD) such as Asperger syndrome. The number of people diagnosed with autism has increased dramatically since the 1980s, partly due to changes in diagnostic practice. It is not yet clear whether actual prevalence of the condition has increased.

Sports Eye Safety Month
Over 40,000 people per year suffer eye injuries while playing sports. Now that baseball, softball and summer basketball seasons are here, it's important to recognize that these three sports are the leading cause of eye injuries. Almost all of these injuries can be prevented through use of protective eyewear. Face shields and eyewear can help make sure your Little Leaguer makes the big leagues someday with his or her vision intact.
